Why SACS Inc.?

Why choose us? There is a myriad of contractors out there to choose from and with all the money put into marketing and image it can be tough to tell if one smiling salesman’s company is better than the next.

Happiness and hoorah only go so far though. The next best thing about SACS Inc. is our warranty. We offer a second to none “we-will-fix-it-if-it’s-our-fault-no-matter-what policy”. We do everything in our power to have no warranty issues, but that is not always possible. We stand behind our work and our name for the full warranty period -and if you’re nice, maybe even longer.

What is Cost Plus Building?

Cost plus building is where the builder and owner sign a contract stating the owner will pay for all costs plus a said percentage. The percentage or builder’s fee can be anywhere from 5%- 40% depending on the size and type of project.

SACS Inc. does offer cost plus building services. We can estimate a project and give you a solid number if you don’t feel comfortable with cost plus.

Why shouldn’t I just be my own general contractor?

Do you like to gamble? If so, Google and phone books have tons of concrete, framing, roofing and drywall contractors’ numbers in them. Without having seen the work of these tradespeople or having dealt with them on a prior basis, it’s always a gamble. We have gambled many times: hiring a bad tradesperson can be very expensive and stressful. Our team of reliable sub-trades are tried, tested and true. Having us on board to manage trades, hidden costs and the inspection of completed work would be a great asset and will save money and ensure a quality finished product and a sound investment of your money.

We have a reliable team of on-staff carpenters and a strong team of reliable, tried and tested sub-trades that work together like a well-oiled machine to bring your project from design to completion on time and on budget.

What is the first step?

The first step is to call or email us. We will set up an onsite consultation to see if we are a good fit for your upcoming project. We will get a good idea of what your needs and concerns are. We will discuss potential budgets, timelines and design options. If you do not already have a design, the next step will be for us to come back with different design options that are a potential fit. Once you choose a design we will estimate the cost for the complete job.

Once our quote is accepted we will design a payment structure and plan that is tailored to each specific project.

After we have the deposit and signed contract, our interest and time for you will drastically decrease. Just joking! The reason I mentioned that is because it is a big problem with contractors. They have all the time in the world for you before you sign but after that you are put on the back burner. We promise not to do that, in our contract we will specify meeting times and dates at different stages of the project. Our phones are always on and we are easy to contact and available on short notice to meet and discuss anything unforeseen that comes up.

By the end of your project you will know your contractor/project manager very well so it’s important to pick one you like from the start!

How long is your warranty?

We offer different warranties for different projects but our shortest warranty is a two year workmanship and our longest is lifetime. The details of your warranty will be discussed in person and written in our contract. We have done warranty work for numerous customers many years after the fact and can provide their phone numbers if you would like to hear their side of the story.
